AIR ATTACK

This concernces a low level attack on a japanese Corvette by US- Army Bombers in the Southwestpacific.

This B 25-D Mitchels belongs to the 500. Bombsquadron , called the "Rough Raiders", of the 345. Bombgroup and were infamous for there low level attacks on land - and sea targets.

So, many small freighters and escort vessels became their victims. This Corvette of the type Kaibokan 2
is already hit and is trying with changing courses and full speed to avoid her inevitable fate.

Frequntly by such airattacks some complete japanese convoy were destroyed ….

The modell of the Corvette is from Neptun (N 1285), the B-25 Mitchels´are from selfproduktion.
